Yes I had that once when I also had to change a flat tyre whilst travelling down by the Guadiana river. It stopped by the time I had changed the wheel

Travelling down to Benicasim it started raining so hard I was down to around 20mph and the wipers couldn't keep up.....
Some clown in a RangeRover passed us doing at least 70mph....maybe flying on instruments only cause they couldn't see any further than us.
