He wasn't getting too much support from fellow vanlifers. The four mentioned appear to be long stayers on the carpark.

As a motorhomer since before he was probably born, definitely before he could drive, I feel that my lifestyle has been impacted by vanlifers rather than the other way round, and the increase in numbers is the likely cause of bans/barriers.

'You're not stuck in traffic, you are the traffic.'

Someone posted that on here a while back I'm sure. Think it's German in origin but I feel it's fitting for a lot of posts on here. We seem to all blame others for height barriers, restrictions etc. It's our fault a collective in my opinion.

This sort of thing was what put an end to Moho parking in the British Red Cross car park in Bourton on the Water.

A huge Cathargo thing taking up 5 spaces, I spoke to the propieter afterwards and he said it was the last straw.

The description on S4S clearly said unsuitable for large vehicles. ☹️

Pointless for these type...they cannot read...because regulations do not apply to them...we get it all the time in Spain...even when Camperstop rules are in 4 languages...they choose to ignore..

Its impossible to tell what the issue is from that photo. There are no marked spaces. If he is too long to go the other way around that might be why he has parked that way. I would do the same or I would go somewhere else if it was making it awkward for others. Our van is 8.5m.

so, a 'van lifer' who is evidently living in this car park on a regular basis is complaining about a MH that is there for one night, is completely self contained, doesn't sh*t is the bushes and dump waste water/ rubbish everywhere and only leaves tyre marks when he goes, what is the problem? The MH owner has more money that the VL? Has made better/different life choices ? Has a classier breed of dog?

Unfortunately that is the way of things, if someone ignores/ does not understand the rules, the answer is to just ban everyone instead of enforcing the rules. Taking up 5 spaces? Tell them to move on .............. it is the only way they will understand that their life choice was maybe a bit long.....

The big van seems to have the same taped up bottom quarter that we saw on here a while ago.

No that's common on vans...I've had to do it a few times...even lost the whole back bumper on our Hymer in Germany..and half in Galicia last year...🤔🥴
