Learning to appreciate what time we have left
As description in title says.....We have a "new to us Motor home " . It has a small crack in the rear right lower 1/4 panel where the original owner had damaged it . I know these can be damaged quite easily so .......who can recommend a repair for us poor mice here in Stafford please? I can buy the lower bumper panel in its entirety from Auto trail at £150 plus postage. Can it be done cheaper would you know?

Would like it done for kev before we eventually move off if possible?

Any recommendations will be gratefully accepted guys

Carolyn (And Kev of course)...🥰

What model autotrail and age do you have and do you have a picture of the panel
I have a brand new one in my attic somewhere for a 2007 x250 frontier scout brand new from autotrail

2016 Delaware .....Cannock resprays want £290!! The panel is only £150 plus postage? Where do they get their prices from? I do sometimes think when they are talking to a woman...they can make a figure up!

Thank you but I think it may be too old now? By that ...has not the shape been altered over the years?

Kindest regards Carolyn

I was going to recommend Cannock re-sprays. They fixed my Autotrail after it got scratched.

No I don't think so this time. In the first post when yu mentioned the new part price I thought to myself that no repair shop is ever going to get near it. I'd buy a new one ,fit it & repair the old one myself for next time

I must admit ...some of the figures coming back are rather High! I may just bight the bullet and order one for him! He will only pay to have it done in the end anyway!
Thanks guys for the responses....I will get him one from Auto trail.

Kindest regards Carolyn......

Is the new part pre-painted? then the next thing is getting it fixed professionally, you are paying per hour or part thereof to do the job.

Getting it plastic welded would be cheapest, then patch up the paint

The new part comes ready to install from Autotrail. They had the Chassis number and some other figure off the log book and came back with the part number its cost and delivery price.
I spoke to a company 20 mins ago and asked the question regarding the repair....He stated and I quote..."Suggest that you get the part from the dealers then! We could not even look at it for that"!!
I wont mention names but .......Kev says Karma will come around!

Stolen car. We lived on the corner of a left hand 90 degree bend. The impact pushed the van sideways 3 foot and knocked down a fence on the other side of the van.

That car must have been riddled with tinworm. So much damage yet comparatively little to the fibreglass and foam box.

2001 Autotrail scout. Built when they did them right. 👍👍
