Simple thread really, It's that time of year where you just can't avoid getting your feet filthy.

What have people got inside their hab door for wiping feet? I'm looking for something anti-slip and maybe quite thick to cut out a bit of the draft from the floor area there.

Any ideas before I go browsing amazon?

Green plastic one from Lidl. It can be rinsed under the tap.

Best used outside not inside. Inside we have a mat from a poundshop that cost ....

wait for it ...

a Pound (y)

I have to remove my shoes/boots before entering:whistle:

I try to do this but when I need in to the van to get my lunch out the fridge or to grab some cutlery by the time I had my work boots untied, off then back on again lunch would be over.

Look in 'The Range', loads in there, all shapes and sizes and very cheap. Alternatively look on your local market, ours always has really good quality rugs and mats often for less than a fiver. Personally, I wouldn't have Turtle Mats again, they're expensive they look awful when they are damp or soiled and the ones we had marked the floor badly underneath.

We have a grey mat original to the moho glued down to the floor. We found that the rubber backed soft washable ones rucked up when placed over this mat. The only ones that didnt move were the stiffer ones where the mat has a rubber edge showing all the way round. Like this one but smaller. Cost about £6 from a shop in Banff called The Spotty Bag Shop, while we were parked up on tour. We thought it was selling bags but it sold all sorts for the moho.

I know the spotty bag shop. Bit of a cult store up these ways.

Probably the only reason I'd venture in to Banff :giggler:

No no no home bargains is the place to go..
Proper non slip ones for £3.99 washable as well.
Bought one early last year for the van and loved it so much bought another for the apartment then another for our outside toilet at home.
Lightweight and really absorbent.
👌🏽

Management found washable mats for the house and in the doorway of the motorhome from Dunelm Mill. They had a good selection of colours and sizes.
I got similar from Lidl or Aldi, always confuse the two!

We do remove our shoes changing to slippers in the winter but muttly hasnt quite mastered wiping his feet yet. If we rember we put his large towel on the floor and dry his legs but he is a big stubborn old boot and dosnt like the towel.

I may need to invest in a pair of slip on steel toe'ers

I use a thick rubber mat. My car came with three sets - the previous owner was heavy on the driver's side heel and wore holes in there whilst the rest of the set were pristine so I use them to cover the boot floor. Happened to have the car with me when we were on a wet CL site, so put one in the van as it fit the doorway perfectly. And it stayed there, costing nothing. Perfect for coming in really wet and muddy, and sitting down immediately to change footwear.

Ours came from Dunelm. It was more than I was going to pay - I think it was about £10 but I liked the colours & the pattern. We dont have carpets on the floor, and the inside of the van can seem a little grey - well upholstery etc IS grey. So this is cheerful. Can just be shaken outside.

Same here we used dunhelm runner for main sitting area, then small square one outside bathroon, easy to wash, then heavy duty one in the entrance of the doorway  (y)

Homebase has a decent selection of different sizes and colours, we got on there and trimmed it to fit

Got a Marvel mat, works well.
Got a runner from B&M quite a heavy cord with a good tough backing-Dirt Grabber Runner £12-quite long but you can cut to size, it does seem to grab stuff!

We went to Dunelm mill yesterday to buy a mat for the recently decorated bedroom. There is a sale on at the moment so a the mat we chose was dropped from £20 to £15.

Dunelm Marvel Mats and Runners, just shake them out and bung them in the washing machine when they get to dirty.
Snap
spot on, and easy to cut with Skissors to fit the intricate bits, including hole for table. The real problem is storing the huge one piece Rapido carpet that is such a rediculously impractical colour and material. It has to live on the kayak so that cant be used.

Well mine arrived today, it's the 'home is where you park it' one.

Don't like it, it's quickly going to get filthy and a bit too softy softy.

I'm just going for an ugly heavy duty one I think.
