Hi , I'm considering buying a Telair silent 7400H aircon unit for our motorhome together with a Power Smart P2400 generator . If anyone has either of these I would greatly appreciate your opinions as to quality and reliability. Any info to help me decide will be great

Sorry I can't help but are you thinking of running the Gennie to power the air con over night?

It looks like the recommended power requirement is 2200w for the AC unit, may require a bit further investigation into power consumption as this may put the generator on its limit as it is rated at 2400w start up and 1800w running.
It may be helpful to say how and when you intend to use the generator, they tend to be unpopular if others are parked nearby.
Cheers
Ed

Sounds like a good excuse to get a couple of decent lithium batteries and a roof full of solar, our 1700watt Dometic Freshjet runs for a good few hours on the batteries.

Start up is 2200 watts but then runs at 900watts so should be Ok. We are in South of France so aircon is a must have

If not all night, then long enough to bring the evening temperature down, we are in South of France so is very much a must have

The roof is fairly full now so not an option, and I want to use it when I want , not when the batteries are charged. It is also reversible so will aid winter trips

We manage in south of france with a fiamma turbo vent and even turn it off in the early hours because too cold. So on that basis its not a must have imo.
