We are going over to France at the being of May and I'm planning for our first night stop here.
It looks a bit pricey for electric though.

There is an Aire at Buerges 9km S. of Dunkirk. Sports field on one side and greenery on other. No facilities but plenty of space and short walk through the town walls to a pretty town with good shops and restaurants. Our regular stop before DKR-DVR ferry.

You could try De Panne in Belgium. Loads of sites there. A very nice Belgium sea side resort
