When to change cam belt?

Can someone please clarify when to change cambelt on FD borstner? We are told 5yrs or 150,000 kms. But what is the story with a vehicle 7 yrs old but with under 50,000kms on the clock?

7yrs. Change it. Really not worth the risk

At 7 years it is 2 years over. Unless it was changed at 5 years. Then you have another 3 years to go.

It time OR mileage....whichever comes first.
The van could have been stored for the last five years.....but it's still due a belt change.
An average belt change is 5 years or 80,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Do as it advises , whichever is reached first . Simples So with info provided its two years overdue .

For the cost of repairs or a another engine, I’d get it changed. Peace of mind for sure.

If you have no idea if and when it’s been change, change it

Belt and water pump at 5 years. Don't risk it if you unsure, bite the bullet and get them changed.
