Wheel Mounting Bracket - do I need to carry it!?

Hi folks,
after picking up our 2019 Auto-Sleeper Neuvo, we noticed that there was this included in amongst some bits & bobs :

it seems to be one of these :

so we’re guessing it’s related to the spare wheel, but not clear why we have one and if we should be carrying it with us?

Looks like it's the bracket that enables an alloy wheel to be carried in the bracket underneath if the steel spare is used? We carry ours.

Ahh. That makes sense! The spare likely non-alloy, so this allows me to store a knackered alloy if I have to use it!

(Guess I should have a look at the spare sometime!)
