Lucky enough to have been to New York and back on Concorde after my wife won the 'business challenge'at the company she was working for at the times' annual conference,and four nights at the Waldorf!

My great uncle Frank Lester VC at 18 was awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously, Google him, I cried.

My grandfather is buried in Yokahama in Japan. He died aged 23 on 5/12/1942 an RAF Pow. My Mum was 7 months old. Makes me sad.

Took Mum to see him in 2002 and it made me cry.

Apart from a short stint in the military, I've never been 'employed' always making my own way in life. And I was a proud dad at the weekend as my eldest opened her first shop on the south coast. Opening day was better than she'd even dreamed it might be.

Both my ex and my daughter are truly ambidextrous. They both hold a guitar in either hand and have found that the piano was a breeze to learn. Strange how we pass these things on.
