This is a picture of the roof on my carthago what size solar panel do you think I could get in the space to the o/s/r corner or could I get more across the back or over the top of the satellite wire trunking

We use the van mainly in the UK at present with one or two trips abroad each year but I would say 80% UK based

Living the dream.
IMO it depends where your using it, in the UK year round as much as you can fit (we have 300 watts) in Spain for example a 100w panel might do. We’re on the med coast now and chucking it away we’ve that much (y)

You would have to measure the physical space available and look at someone like photonics universe for what would fit

We’ve got the same roof layout as you except for the aircon.
Dealers fitted 2x100w panels on ours, plus I insisted on a mppt controller.
You might squeeze more on (the more the merrier) but you might need to walk around on the roof for cleaning etc. so leave a bit of space.

Forgot to say.
One of our panels is fitted over the satellite trunking.

Be aware that the satellite dish, when erected, will shade part of your panels and reduce the output. Bear this in mind when placing your panels.

I'd also be looking at re-routing that trunking to give more free space.

You could get 4 of the Lenson 100w flexi panels in the space you have there.

I would say 200 watt, OK for Spain but not much cop in the UK.
We have 300 watt it's nowhere near enough for the UK in winter.
