Yes under the vanYes it's a waste trap but looks to be in an odd place, where does that grey waste pipe go to ? If that's underneath the van it will freeze easily and that's probably why your is leaking.

Bottom probably, so you can drop the muck out of it when it fills up. I looks like a glued joint, so you'll need a couple of inline connectors and a bit of pipe if you want to take it out.Which way uop should it be? Lid on top or bottom?

Or just take the bottom off and clean it out, if the water's flowing OK it might not back up and leak.
I'm happy to be corrected but I think the bog standard PVC cement works fine on them. Screwstation, ToolFix or any DIY store.What's the right sort of glue to use to seal these pipe fittings together when re doing? Is something like ct1 ok?
