We have a small socket next to a 13amp socket. Its like the ones that you use to plug phones, etc into on the dashboard but narrower. Can anyone tell me what its for and where to buy the necessary plug in device?

Thanks

Living the dream.
Probably a Hella socket, much better than a ciggy lighter socket IMO. Maplins will have plugs to fit it. (y)

JJ has it right, it's a hella plug, better quality and smaller than the normal cigar type plug

Any 12v appliance you can run from a lighter socket basically :)

Our Burstner only has two lighter sockets, in the cab. The 12v sockets in the habitation area are all Hella. I bought Hella plugs to replace the lighter plugs on two multi-socket adapters, one of which includes two USB sockets. That allows me to power all the 12v appliances we need (remembering, of course, not to overload the circuit).
