This question has probably been asked lots of times already. I’m looking at going across to Europe next month and I’m confused as to what is required to enter Holland Covid wise. I’ve read that you have to have to be double jabbed, which I am, and have a negative PCR test, as well as filling it lots of paperwork.

I intend to travel into Belgium and this is even more confusing as it states that you have to take a PCR test and quarantine until the result comes back, as well as complete a passenger location form. This is slightly confusing as depending on how you arrive and how long you’re there for you may or may not have to complete the form.

I’m now thinking that it would be easier going through the tunnel and drive into Belgium as I only intend to go to Bastogne to do some research and would be away from cities where I would be more likely to get stopped.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

The short answer is it changes weekly so best to keep an eye on the gov.uk travel pages for Belgium and The Netherlands. You can get an email sent whenever a change is updated automatically.

currently you need to quarantine for 10 days to get into the Netherlands but not for Belgium just a per test on arrival.

Thanks for the replies, having looked on the website again the PCR test is the easier option, I would have only been transitting through Holland and still not sure if I'd have to qurantine or not. Tunnel and France it is then.

If you are going to Bastogne no need to go through the Netherlands unless you are getting a ferry to Hook of Holland otherwise straight through France & Belgium E42/N40

I live in Derbyshire, only 90 miles from Hull, so it's convienent to go by boat as opposed to the treck down to Kent.

If you cros from France Via Belgium. Short Stay in the Netherlands. What are the Rules then?

I am thinking, though things may change.

Tunnel to France
Transit Belgium into The Netherlands.
Week Stay in Holland
Ferry to Hull
It’s still 10 days quarantine though you can test and release after 5 if you are travelling from the UK to NL at the moment.
