Chausson 640 welcome
Exp
Since October 2019
Long running issue with flat batteries and control panels not working right on my new chausson 640 . Anyway as well as the “easily accessible “ fuse bank on the out side of the van there are two 5 amp fuses that sit between the batteries and the control panel . To find them , unscrew black flower panel between front seats . Then unscrew plywood cover . Lift carefully . On the underside of the cover is a control box , unscrew this which detaches it from the plywood, lift the black cover off and hey presto ! 2 x 5 amp fuses . One was blown

note to self - take loads of spare fuses with you .

And of course, you found the reason for it blowing.
Fuses don't usually just blow for no reason.

If it blows again it’ll be obvious that there’s a reason; if not, it’ll just be ‘one of those things’.

I always replace blown fuses first. Eight (or similar high number) times out of ten there’s no underlying electrical fault reason for it having blown; often it’s a mechanical failure (vibration).

it happened after I have a flat battery and I think (I wasn’t there) the rac jump started it. Plus I also have fiat mucking around with the van ( I’ll keep an eye out and a pocket full of fuses ready
