What have you named your motor home?

Cars, vans, whatever simply have to have a name.
For those poor souls among you who have not named your motorhome, just hang your head in shame and go and sit ina dark room and contemplate improving your performance..
Thoughts and suggestions please for our 'new' van? It is a Nu Venture brand so should it be, Victor Venture, Nevis the Nu? Maybe Valentino? No, the ladies might see me and have expectations that I cannot now, nor ever could achieve.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Have a great weekend everybody and kindest regards

Surely it’s Gary….as in Gary Numan or Gary Nuvan

Our's is called "Groot", for two reasons...
First, we have a 5cm high "Groot" on the dash passing a message on to those maniacal French drivers for us (note not all French drivers are maniacs)

And second, she's big for a PVC, and Groot is Big in Dutch..

Cheers
Red.

OK, here goes …

Our first van was a Bilbos VW campervan, and we decided to name it Biggles, because the registration plate ended in BYG. (Those of a certain age may remember the Biggles books, and his exploits in his Spitfire defeating the pesky Jerries …)

Our Travel Van was named Angela, after the German Chancellor at the time, Angela Merkel. Like her namesake, our van was small, square, solid, efficient, und very very German!

Our current van is a dark grey PVC, so we decided to name it Gandalf. SWMBO will tell you that I am like Gandalf - old, grey and always irritable. I thought of adding a badge on the back, but SWMBO thinks it may be too provocative.

Can't understand why people need to name the van. However, we've named the fridge.."fridge" and the toilet.."toilet" as well as naming the kettle.."kettle"!
Just searching the internet to find a name for the bed...🤔

I keep seeing people have named their MoHo’s, especially on You Tube. Do you follow this trend? And what was your inspiration?

A bit obvious my name but I like it:

”HEIDI - Hy-Mer“ with Tribute to Ruth Madoc, sadly no longer with us.

THEN, if I did a vlog, I could go with Heidi Grows Up or Heidi and the Labradors Go South! But a vlog is not in my plans right now, I just want to be out and about enjoying some views.
Jules.it means somefhing to us

Florence cos‘ that was where she was made! Flo for short which is part of the reg number!

She is German, big, jolly, broad in the beam, and is welcoming and comfortable.

She just looks like someone or something called ‘Helga’ would look like. If she was English I’d have called her ‘Matron’

My son called our first caravan flat tyre, we had a flat tyre almost every outing…then our second caravan became Poppy* then, our first MoHo became Poppy too, Our second a camper, became Poppy ll, so our new van became poppy lll.
Poppy* came from our first night out in a new caravan, we stopped in a lay-by late at night, on our way to Cornwall, in the morning, my lad looked out of the window into a field of red poppies and squealed with delight, look he shouted the field is red. What are they? He asked, I told him they were poppies a very special flower, so he said I’m calling my caravan poppy.

Rattler.
Because that's the noise she makes going along crappy, unkempt UK roads

Tigger as we have a very large picture of a Tiger on the rear of our Lunar Riadstar

Our first motorhome was Wanda as she allowed us to wander here there and everywhere. Our newer acquisition is Gertie after both our late grans. 😊

Rapido's always had " le Rondeneur" spelt something like that! On the body Which means " The Wanderer" which I think is a lovely name

Ours is called Big Bertha because she is huge lol - it suits her well 😜

Kermit because it’s a Chauson, previous was Piggy after piggy bank cause that’s where all my spare money went

Ours is called Pappa Tango. Last two letters of its numberplate in phonetic alphabet.

I used to work for an airline, where the aircraft were always referred to by their last two letters of their registration. As opposed to name at the front which occasionally changed
