Thinking of downsizing but would prefer to get a motorhome with a black tank, emptying a little tank every day or so must be a pita.

Concorde and Morelo do and I think Niesmann & Bischoff Flair would do also. I expect that all similar makes will have as well.

Did some research into this back in 2012, when I sold mine. Could not find anything European, with a Black Tank then. If you are only considering getting down under 7.5t, how about one of the lighter yanks?.

Want a garage pete, even on mine i can only fit 1 sunlounger in a locker, the other one goes under the bed.

150 litre black and 200 litre grey on my rv, means we can go a week easy.

The tanks in ours are 230 litres each of black, grey and fresh.

We’ve never let our black tank fill up so don’t know how long it would take to fill. We always empty it when the grey needs to be emptied. It would take quite a long time to fill though... horrible thought!

I have had two differing systems...

Last motorhome - one black tank 3 inch big pipe, short 1" grey pipe but also an option to pump the grey into the black and empty all through the black. Two benefits - empty black tank first then pump the grey over and let it out - helps clean out the black tank. Second benefit - if grey was getting full and nowhere to empty then pump some grey into the black.

Current motorhome is two separate outlets 3 inch and 1 inch black and grey.

I keep my C&CC membership current as they have a number of sites where you can just pop in and stay for up to four hours, use all the facilities and have ground level emptying points at a cost of £7.50 a visit.

Depends how far you want to come down, Our Rapido for example is 7.4M (24ft-6 ish). Takes a bit of getting used to at first!. But you still have no black Tk?. A lot of folk buy a second cassette and store it in the garage?. (y)

I often wish I had bought a Winnebago Via in the USA when I had the chance, and had it shipped back when we finished over there. 25ft ish, one or 2 slides bells and whistles Genny, Black and Grey etc; on a Sprinter 3L Diesel Chassis.:(. Saw them being built at the Winne; plant back in 2013.

I can concur.

It was an option on some of the of the Kreos models, probably also on the Rexos as well.
Apparently very good build quality too

I think pretty good based on our experience with the children and dog bashing ours gets. It's no N&B or Concorde build but better we thought than the same priced Hymer at that time.

We have two cassettes, designated storage area for both in our Flair on an Iveco, can last six days. It’s up for sale.

Problem with a black tank, unless you move a lot you can get a shit mountain below the toilet pan. Then you need a stirring stick to break it up. Then you need somewhere to store shitty stick

Our bench style Thetford cassette ( c200?) is usually good for 4 days?
Fair bit bigger than the little cassettes I see on caravans and smaller vans.
Personally I think driving to find ground level disposal points would be more of a pain?

Been doing it since 05 never had a problem.
Humping a normal sized cassette is bad enough but a bigger one, no thanks.

That’s not how it works :D

The toilet has a macerator!

You need to empty the grey tank far more often than the black. You need a drain to dump the grey so you just empty both together. It doesn’t necessarily need to be drive over drain as there are connecting hoses. As long as it’s not uphill of the vehicle it’s fine.

Plenty but mostly the larger ones: Concorde morelo, vario, phoenix, etc N&b standard on the 'proper' Clou's not so sure about Flairs. How smaller do you want to go?

Only once while weve been out this trip have we stopped anywhere with a ground level drain for black waste. I would imagine they take some finding, unless people are dumping black waste in the grey waste drain which could be unpleasant
