As the title says, what does this switch on my 2016 Benimar Mileo 201 do.
It is under the outside flap for the external BBQ point and shower outlet but it doesn't do anything
I took the drawer box out under the sink to see the back of the switch and lo and behold it has no wires going to it !!!!
Why put a switch there if it is not needed.
Anyone got any ideas what it should have been there for ?

Without trying to sound too flippant, have you tried googling the reich? You won't be the first(excuse pun) send them an e-mail and they'll tell you i'm sure.(don't mention the war!)Does seem daft putting what should be an electrical switch(unless explosion proof) next to two gas outlets but there you go! Close look at the setup there and it appears the bottom outlet is a water one-outdoor shower? Even so not a place I would want a switch next to gas.

It seems a fairly perverse place to put a switch no matter what !! Right in the middle of a couple of gas outlets !

I wouldn't want an electric switch next to gas... They arc inside. Sparks + Gas = BOOM!!!!

The motorhome's previous owner was obviously a German time traveller who'd invented a gas-powered time machine. It's a three way switch for selecting First, Second or Third Reich.

I'd suggest that it's to switch the pump on for the water if your system is not a pressurised one.

Both the switch and the lower outlet are not standard to the gas outlet they have been added by a previous owner.
As said stupid place to put an electrical switch, probably for the water pump and the lower outlet is or was connected to the water supply.

Definitely an after-manufacture addition, looks like a water inlet connector below the switch so my money would be on an external shower connection and switch to turn the pump on/off ... I wonder if it was found at a habitation check and disconnected as it was deemed unsafe?

Thanks for all your suggestions, I think I have sussed it.
As someone said earlier it was for the water pump to feed the outside shower attachment.
However on the new 2016 models the outside shower head has a flip switch on the head so that to operate the shower you depress the switch on the head and the pump runs, let go and the pump stops, the old one didn't have the switch
on the head so you had to operate the black toggle switch which is now obsolete but is still fitted but not connected.
Hope I have explained this clearly.

7 years campers before that
they must have changed from a switched water system to a pressuered system if thats correct. as that head will not switch anything electrical as that appears to be a standard shower hose

Maybe it’s terminology: The ‘switch’ on the shower head is a tap, and water will only flow while it is pressed. All external shower heads should have that kind of arrangement or you’ll use/lose a lot of water. The pump will operate automatically as water is used if it is a pressurised system.

A non-pressurised system requires a switch at each tap/exit to activate the pump and that would be the purpose of the switch (to keep the pump running). I doubt there is a showerhead available with an electric switch incorporated (for many reasons), hence the switch.

It is not standard to the Reich gas outlet so must have been manufacturer fitted, they should know better.
