Hanging out with cool Funsters Kath and John at Praia Da Rocha.

Can't be parked where the Rufty Tufties go in case their front wheel drive, toy camper gets wheel spin...

So...

I have to be with "ordinary" people.

Well...

8.10 am the girlie Dutchman next door wakes me up beating the dust out of his wretched floor mat... 8.10 am! I ask you.

So...

I am forced to get up and am just sunning myself outside, moaning to J and K about the injustices of life when I notice an English reg. van with a YOUNG couple in it. Far, far too young to be enjoying this lifestyle.

I am just about to wander across to complain when they start PUTTING OUT THEIR WASHING!

Well... a man can only put up with so much.

Across I go to tell them they are too young for this game and to suggest they go away and come back in 20 odd years time when...

HORROR NUMBER ONE...

THEN...

SHOCK HORROR 2.

They are FUNSTERS!

Pulling over the waste disposal trench and releasing my grey water, as other dump their cassettes, produces a glorious mixture of aromas.

I assume this goes on through out the day.

I am STAGGERED that this group of Dutch vanners are happy to sit outside, chatting and eating and drinking within a few feet of the stinking process.

And guess what?

They wanted me to turn off my engine because they said it was making a smell!

I replied in Portuguese so I don't think they got the full meaning of this reply...

Nice little bit of rapid charging done though.

Well JJ I know you don't like paying for nowt but we are at Mikki's,. a new camper stop which is being completed as we speak, although some way to go yet.

A very friendly Belgium couple with plenty of room and a decent dump point. Maybe Kath & John and Barry & Tez both of which we met at Pedro's, might find it better than the Potrimao stink.

Only the area immediately around the poo/grey water dumping place stinks.

...

And the reason I normally avoid places with loads of other vans like campsites is nothing to do with the price you pay (in terms of money).

I spend money like there is no tomorrow!

37.128210, -8.322723 are the co-ordinates and it's between Guia and Lagoa but don't get it mixed up with the one on the 125, this is a very different place out in the countryside.

I do know the place JJ and it do stink around the dump. I also could not understand people choosing to park so close to it.
