All the gear, and no idea!
Whilst I’m saving up for some blue, I was looking at this, £210 for a 50a B2B and a MPPT in one unit that will take 660w of solar, so what’s the difference between this and using a victron 300 mppt and say a sterling B2B other than £££££’s?

The Victron or Sterling will still be working long after the cheap one has gone pop !
I get that but isn’t Renogy a good company?

I will reserve judgement on this, I ordered a solar panel off them that was going to be delivered on Thursday, got a tracking thing and everytime I look it's moved on a day, this morning it now says monday :(

I had a Victron MPPT fail on me after about 3 years so they are not bomb-proof.

I suspect the Renogy unit might be good value. It isn't ridiculously cheap and if it fits your requirements I would give it serious consideration.

A lot of the VW clan fit those (and the Redarc alternative) for simplicity. Main issue with an all in one is if one bit fails, all of it probably has

My only experience with Renogy was a bad one. Ordered a lithium battery from them, then never heard anything from them at all. No replies to emails, they just cancelled my order!

Got a 2000-4000 ups inverter from renogy a year ago
Works a treatid just echo what gmls said

I have a similar unit made by CTEK. It's a combined 350W MPPT charger and 20 Amp B2B. Probably not as efficient as discrete units, but very easy to fit, and from a reputable company. I was more interested in the intelligent 5-stage charging regime than maxing out on B2B current.
