In the process of getting the motorhome ready for going out to play (ever hopeful!), I thought it would be worth checking on the state of the water filter. But my Elddis doesn't have one (not one I can find anyway) but what it does have is a Whale Strainer located at the pump inlet. It seemed to have some rubbish in it (looking through the clear perspex cover) so I removed it from the pipework, removed the cover, and flushed out what appeared to be small pieces of silver paper, like you find wrapped round a chocolate bar. I don't have a clue where they came from, but the whole process only took about 10 minutes so well worth doing if you can see any foreign bodies inside. Take care to make sure the 'O' ring is properly located when reassembling.
