As it usually does in Ireland..... last night ended up in an impromptu 'shindig'... Great get together of irish , English ,French and Spanish folk in the local bar and we ended up with 22 vans .... Final sunset over the bay was stunning.
Onwards towards Mullaghmore today.

On my crib notes for our trip in May I have mullaghmore down as good parking but not on Sunday,
Not sure why! It may be a market!

No,
Car park is the chapel/church park.
In Ireland we have a lot of sinners hence the need for car parks on Sunday's !

Spent last night in Mullaghmore... what a fantastic location with stunning views.
No problem wilding on the sea front but arrive late(ish) 8pm and be away early to not annoy the locals/day trippers.
Stunning wilding location on coast road, go through village and travel approx 2 mile and an area just off road with mind blowing sea views. Sunset last evening was fantastic too.
Travelled onwards to Donegal town for a few hours and then through Barnesmore gap to home.
It's only an hour from me but what a stunning area, will do more of this sort of impromptu travelling soon.
Some pics below, sorry only taken on iPhone but gives a feel for the place.
Anyone needing info then drop me a PM.

Just caught up with this thread, very interesting to read as we're planning to go across in September......saving up for the ferry fare as it's "an arm and a leg" considering it's such a short journey for us:(

Super photos(y)

Some nice places also in Co.Sligo. Stopped off there last week for a night, very beautiful.
The landscape in the NW of Ireland is staggering beautiful, alas the weather can can be a bummer !
Need more info? Drop me a PM.
