Can't help with sites but there's a pub in Delabole, The Bettle and Chisel, just of the A39 near Camelford that allows stopovers. Great pub, good food and they'll do you breakfast as well as long as you book it the night before.
The only thing you have to watch is that the entrance to the car park is on a slope and bloody narrow. Doable with care though.
I believe they have a field that's technically some sort of CL as well but it wasn't in use when we were there. It looked to me like it was just a field.
This was our route around Devon & Cornwall in May. All fabulous except for Porthleven which was the rear of a grotty pub and charged £25 per night! We were the only ones there.

We've just come back from a trip to Cornwall so if it's not too late here are a few suggestions:-
Padstow. Dennis Cove Campsite. Nice easy walk (about half a mile) along the coast into Padstow.
St. Ives. Polmanter Touring Park. About 20-30 minute walk into St. Ives - all downhill but there is a bus service back to the camp if you don't fancy the uphill return. Decent pub within 20 minutes walk.
Bude. Upper Lynstone Caravan Park. Again a short downhill walk into town with a bus service which stops outside the Park.
Falmouth. Cosawes Park. Between Penryn and Truro but is on the bus route beween Falmouth and Truro. We had to use it because Falmouth was full because of a festival but this is a useful base for all three towns. Pub within walking distance.
Totnes club site .no electricity but great site in town loads of bus routes .river cruise to Dartmouth.steam trains .good chippy. What more do you need .?? Lol
