 It's quite possible to get rain and cold winds during February. However. Back in February 1997, we took our Dutch friends with is down to Portugal from the Costa Blanca. It was Sunshine and temps of 20/21C all the way there and back.

You could do worse than go to Armacao de Pera, it is a large site with quite a lot of full timers living there but it has easy walking access to the town where there is plenty to do, loads of cafe's shops and restaurants ets. There are good links to Albufiera. The on site bars are also good and in Feb there will still be a bit of fun to be had, quiz nights, barbeques and the like. Facilities are quite good and the rates are reasonable, especially if you stay for 30 days. The Algarve is nicer than most of the Costa del Sol sites in my opinion. The weather is usually good at that time of year although the last couple of years have been a bit wet at times.

Hi Tony,
What is the name of the site you use here? When I google the name it only gives me resort details. Also is it suitable regarding size and also access for a 8 metre motorhome?

Thanks,

whats the cost of sites please . :Eeek::thumb:

You really ought to go and have a look <Link Removed> for much more detail on the Algarve...

but from what I can gather you should expect to pay the following for a motorhome larger than 6 metres.....

per person about €5 per night

for electric about €2.90 per night

for the motorhome about €12 per night

ie. something like €25 per night or at (70p per € exchange rate) about £18 per night

However depending on the season you can expect between 25 and 45% reduction for longer stays

Hi dshague we are going to Portugal January / Febuary we have not been before, but this year at the same time we went to Spain and stay here:

Camping JÁVEA ¤¤¤ Jávea (Alicante, Spain) - Camping

We have been to Javea 3 times before it's quite nice as far as Spain goes, and not to far, The best thing to do if you are not down there for a long time, is get this:

We can only go for 5 / 6 weeks at a time as we still have 2 girls at home, and they have to look after the dog and cat:Rofl1: we can get down there in 3 day's from Dover. :thumb: Thanks Bob.
