Just phoned Brecon Beacons camc site . They advised me to cancel my booking for next week .
I image this will make the English sites even busier.
Need to find somewhere else now .

Why travel?
There is a rather nasty virus circulating at the moment.
Some areas are very much worse than others and infection rates keep rising.
Oh, and I think there's some stuff about non essential travel been published by some government department or other.
Might be worth a read!
Happy camping. 🤔

Thank you for the advice .

England won’t be far behind doing the same, a friend has had info from a police officer in our area he knows that they have been told all holidays are cancelled/cannot be booked during half term week and the following week.

Are they expecting civil unrest.
I hope not.

Let’s put it this way if people don’t abide with the rules ? Some countries would have tightened up more than us . I can’t fathom out the thinking of people ??? Ok let’s travel yippee !!!!!!

Hate signs like this. The Welsh media keep reusing these . It just generates hatred and xenophobia. We had a bad time during lockdown and were told to go home on multiple occasions despite living in Wales for 15 years. I notice the North Wales Daily Post has restarted to use these stock images In the last couple of weeks. It is a real shame what happened today, it’s is unnecessary and will cause many of my friends to loose their jobs. Mark Dreadfulford should be ashamed

Photoshop ?

Much of Wales will be closed from Friday :

It's an idiotic decision driven by Sir Keir Starmer I expect as the Welsh Leader dances to his tune... "Let's use the Welsh as Guinea Pigs to prove my point"

What the hell's the point of locking down the nation when England isn't following suit?

Pissed is an understatement... We're in Flintshire and we've already been locked down for two weeks, initially with half of the NW driving through our county to get to Anglesey which shows how out of touch these f****** are making the decisions

At the last Senedd election the Welsh labour party leader was Carwyn Jones

He stepped down and believe or not Mark Dripford was the best candidate (of three) in the labour leadership election - so became Wales's first minister (similar system in UK Government gave us Theresa May & Gordon Brown)

There's some advice about non essential travel but that's all it is, advice, in England you're free to go where you like at the moment even if you're in a tier 3 lockdown.

Make your own choices , the virus has a 2.3% mortality rate , driving to a campsite in a self contained motor home, visiting a shop wearing a mask you'd be incredibly unlucky to come into contact with it.

But you have to still follow the rules for the Tier in which you live, even if you are visiting a lower tier region. The 2.3% mortality is an average. For over 75s it is 12%

so the vast majority of the population is in the sub 3 people in a thousand category and people on here want to lock the whole population up.

I would love to know what the odds are in normal times, bet they are pretty similar.

Really?
Perhaps you would like to do my job, visiting shops in tier 3 Areas selling product into them.
Social distancing?
Please.
Oh, and then having been in tier 3 areas I return back home to my area which is tier 2.
Currently in “discussions” with my company over working practices going forward.

I'd be fine with visiting shops in tier 3 areas because I'm getting on with my life rather than sitting worrying about it.
I do all I can , social distancing, mask, hand washing but until it's illegal I'll go where I like

And sod the rest of you, not arrogant or anything???

I'm assuming you're over 75 , so you can afford to self isolate ?

If you're at a higher risk just stay in , if you don't come into contact with anyone you won't catch it.

You're very unlikely to catch it on a camp site or a shop , I'm not a denier , I believe it's out there I'm just not going to let it control my life , until it's illegal I'm playing my part in keeping the economy going.

I quote Mr Dreadfulford this morning

"We have a series of things that we will test to see the impact of this fortnight of significant closure of people's personal and business lives in Wales in order to make sure that we are able to move into the rest of the autumn and the winter in a position where our NHS is not threatened with being overwhelmed," Mr Drakeford said.

I read that as we have no idea what this lockdown will do, we have no science or data to show what it will do....so we are taking a punt on peoples jobs and businesses with no justification. Do why not just stick the Welsh economy on red or black in a casino....but he cannot as he is closing them!

It's a mess , the only 100% protection from a virus is to not come into contact with the carriers , flu mutates so there's nothing to say CV19 is going anywhere, it could be around for decades , you can't bankrupt a country to save 2.3% of the population even if is is a higher % in the elderly and vulnerable.

Whoever took the decision to close ALL the hospital s should be very ashamed.

Ridiculous! Who writes this stuff?

Makes sense to me, trying to stop inconsiderate/selfish people going to lower tier areas to do as they wish and possibly spreading the virus.

Ridiculous! Who writes this stuff?
The question has been asked on numerous TV and Radio shows,
This is a quote from the BBC

I live in Tier 2. Can I meet my sister who lives in Tier 1 at a Tier 1 restaurant indoors? From Bruce Barton
No, this would not be allowed.
If you live in a Tier 2 (high alert) area, you are expected to follow the rules for that area, wherever you are in the UK.
For Tier 2, this means you are not allowed to mix with anyone from another household indoors, whether that is in their house, or at a venue such as a pub or a restaurant.
You could still meet with each other anywhere outside, as long as you are not meeting in a group of more than six people.
