All the gear, and no idea!
Well we’ve just spent the first night in our new to us van, it’s been a fantastic experience so far, everything done that was agreed to be done. Handover done and straight off to Cornish Farm for two nights, compliments of the dealer. The van itself is brilliant, a lot different to our old van, and we’re very pleased with it!
Just like to say a huge thank you to Simon and Hannah at Simon Howards Motorhomes ?

You mean the one we nearly rolled into last night whilst swivelling the drivers seat (got to take handbrake off or it won’t swivel?)?

You’re right Brian, I hope you’re going to be at Norfolk to park us up again?
I'm not sure we shall be at the Norfolk show this year Ady but I shall put in a good word with the marshals for you and request you get pride of place with your smart new set-up.

It will swivel, you just need to move the driver seat right forward and then the rear corner will clear the handbrake as it turns. You will probably need to fold the backrest forward a long way so that the arm clears the steering wheel as you swivel it. Had the same problem on our Pilote.

I would get that step motor looked at, it must come out too fast to go straight threw the side skirt. Happy travels. (y)

Looks as good as it did on the dealers forecourt. Enjoy it, I'm sure you will. Happy New Year

Ditto on our Rapido, it’s just a knack - good luck and have fun

Is Howard’s Motorhomes the same place that has a couple of car garages in the south west including Howard’s Used Car Centre in Yeovil? If so, then I am not surprised by the rave reviews they get on here. I bought a used Fiat Panda from them a couple of years ago and it had issues which wouldn’t go away, probably a bit of a Friday afternoon car to be honest. Over a period of 7 months it went back under warranty to 2 different Fiat dealers 3 times and they seemed to ‘fix’ it temporarily but it kept cutting out with engine management issues that the Fiat dealers seemed unable or unwilling to get to the bottom of. Long story short, I lost confidence in it and Howard’s swapped it for another vehicle after 7 months no quibble, refunding me the difference because the replacement car was cheaper than the Fiat Panda. In fact I could have had an almost full refund with only a small and fair amount deducted for my usage in the 7 months I had the car but they happened to have a car that I was happy to swap with and having been very pleased with how they dealt with the issues with the first car I was happy to do the swap. Would definitely use them again although they are a couple of hours away from us in Worcestershire.

That’s very interesting, hope they are the same people as we are in Sherborne and after the last two weeks of squeezing 5 of us into a Fiat panda I am thinking I may have to look at getting something a bit bigger for when the family are next around. It’s fine as a runaround for the two of us but that’s about it.

Yup that’s us! We sell 8500 vehicles a year as a group and have feedback that averages 99.7% positive!

Thanks for all the likes and best wishes, hope to meet some more of you next year on our travels?
