Getting Better
We have a bright new looking forum, I wasn’t sure at first but now I’ve got used to it I like it.

Love the way the header bar follows you down, it’s a much better experience for me on my iPad....
I know some aren’t sure but after a while it’ll grow on them.

It can’t be easy to change something that appears not to be broken but I’m sure the changes are for the good of the software that’s needed to future proof Motorhome fun....

Well done Jim and the others that helped you with the task..... (y)

yeah agree , far better on android phone now , not so good on chromebook but dont use it much so no big deal, just one small thing , when you get to the bottom of recents and click show more , it goes back to the top, couldnt we just have more straight off?

Well, many of us had had a little whinge about this new look (me included) however on the whole Jim has made a good job of it.

I would imagine that at times it feels quite a thankless task for Jim, but hey, he is big enough and ugly enough to do it ;).

So whinging apart ............. Thanks Jim (y) (y)

You'll be at the top of the list for that post for when Jim hands out his 'Prefect Badges'. :D

Loving the new ‘like’ badges - although I think we should have a girly ‘hug’ one to match the shaking hands .... ;)

This may be user error but using tablet and phone I only seem to be able to give the "thumbs up" like it review of a post. Where are the other choices?

If you keep your finger on the thumbs up it will come up with the other emojis..??

Although I was perfectly happy with the old forum, I must say that I do like the new look and feel. Thank you Jim

Not so well done Jim - I'm getting really pissed of at all the people "reacting" to my posts.

Surely you can do better. "Responded" for a start.

Jim & others, please lend me thy ears.
Probably me,lack of technique or summink but! can I ask why when you click on the emojis icon and the pane opens showing all the hundreds of different faces to choose from, it totally obscures your typed text not allowing you to place the curser to nominate where you want the emoji to be placed? I then have to delete the emoji as its in the wrong place by which time the selection pane has disappeared, click back on the smile to get it back in view, and the whole problem is repeated.
I have the same problem sometimes on Whats App, so I guess it me, but some pointers would be helpful, until then I will type an emoji like this :(
Thanks
Les

I imagine that's a pain. What machine are you using when this happens?

I'm using :unsure:win 10 now (god this is awful)

Okay, it looks like I can insert smiles is in the normal way. the direction of the smiley fly out depends on where I am on the screen. if the editor is at the bottom then the smiley screen flies up to the top. If the editors at the top they fly out to the bottom and this can obscure the screen.

I tend to have my cursor where I want the smiley to appear; click on the smiley and choose then hit the cross to get rid of it. Although for my favourite Smiley's I know the code for instance '\ so I automatically type colon : followed by capital D to get :D

Thanks Jim , the emoji pane is placed to RHS of the text pane, so it partially obscured , whereas the emoji pane used to appear at the bottom of the text pane, giving you clear view to place the cursor at any point in the text, so that when you click on your selected emoji it flies to that exact point.
The emoji does in most cases fly over to where you want it, however you have to close the emoji pane down to get clear access to the text you have created, place the cursor, open the emoji page then select emoji you desire, then hope it flies over to where you had indicated it should go.
We have tried moving the emoji page out the way of the text, however its static and can only be scrolled up or down, not side to side.
Its no big deal, so please dont concern yourself, its just that the emoji pane is not out the way at the bottom anymore.
Many thanks for all your hard work.(y)(y)those were easy to place as the text was left of the emoji pane, like here also:D
