This was an article in The Times travel section

A humorous article having a go at the strangeness of what people take with them.

Of course a lot of the items are what we motorhomers take normally and are not considered strange. It is why we choose MHoming, so maybe those people should buy a MH.

Hi.
Just last week 11 nights at Campismo Municipal Praia de Mira . Over in the Tents areas. ( Only a little bit of hard standing, enough for a car Some units would have you believe they were straight out of an Arabian deserts Nomadic peoples film ) " Super structures, several tents under a big Tarpaulin " When they came to break camp, various pick ups and small lorries arrived and loaded. Duck boards.Polystyrene/foam panels " COMMERCIAL size Freezers " ( Well Big ones :ROFLMAO: ) Tables/chairs etc. This was followed by the arrival of people carriers,as someone had not allowed for there being more bottoms than seats in the cars :ROFLMAO:. Super friendly lots all of them,on one occasion i took my knife and fork over to one gang while they were cooking up and gestured " Is there room for me ? ".....Laughter,then.." Get your bottom down there at the table " ( In porty speak ) Great atmosphere, but that is Portugal.

We went to St Lucia for our honeymoon 35 years ago, and we took with us two steering ball joints, a rear light assembly, and three sets of ignition points for a Jaguar XJ6, why, a long story. :giggle:
