Hi top
Exp
I'm a newbie
Morning,

Here I am again after help.
I'm trying to find out where my nearest weigh bridge is but not having much luck, have checked government web site but they have no information listed and also googled and closest is coming up at 49 miles away.
I live in Biggleswade Bedfordshire and wondered if anyone knows of one near me ?

I'm sure there's one at Wilstead, they do Motorhome repairs as well,
Saw a video where John Wickersham took a van there to be weighed.

Do you know how long ago you saw it as we went looking for a motorhome dealer in wilstead and it's now a new housing estate, I've googled his name and wilstead and wilstead is crossed out in the searches

Try your local scrapyard, they will weigh it for you but will probably charge a nominal amount for the ticket.

@Jim - on a certain other motorhome forum there is a list of weighbridge sites in their 'resources' section. I'm no longer a member so I can't get into it any more. Any chance we can have something similar?

Have you been there recently ? I'm sure we saw garden centre but there was nothing there except new housing estate, sat nav just took us onto that estate, we asked people there and no one knew about motorhome place.

When I was looking, I googled the Local authority website and they came up with public weighbridges.

most quarry's and aggregate suppliers have weighbridges.

I've just been quoted £40 for a single weigh at our local private weigh bridge. I'm guessing that's excessive!

Our local sand and Gravel merchant now since the coal yard stopped operations.

I have been having the same problem but just went (on a chance) to a local sand/gravel merchant and the lady on the weigh bridge said she will weigh a motorhome with no charge but could I make a donation to the local hospice for children. Cannot supply a printout tho' because they are not a public weigh bridge

We've also just (half hour ago) been to local weighbridge to suss it out, it's the Sita waste collection site. The 2 guys we spoke to couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, told us which entrance to use, how it would all work, when's the quietest time. Free for the weigh, charge for the ticket if we want one (£2.50 under 3500, £4 over).
