I have a 2020 Chausson 711 Traveline fitted as standard with a Webasto Diesel Heater which is controlled by a single rotating knob on the control panel.

The heater is not working or attempting to work. I have checked and replaced the fuse in the CBE DS300 22 v distribution unit and a 20Amp fuse which was blown located in the outside cassette toilet hatch.
Is there another fuse somewhere as I am still not getting power to the heater or can you suggest something else please?

Jim

Have you checked the wiring loom that's located in the rats nest of wires that's located under the black plastic cover below the CBE 300 in the technibox for an in line fuse. The cover is fixed in by a self tapping screw at each end and takes a bit of wriggling to remove.

Separate the wiring harnesses out to identify the Webasto loom.

I changed my rotary controller out and replaced with the digital multi controller, but that's a couple if years ago so can't recall if there is an inline fuse.

Hi,
Thanks yes been all over that mess of wiring and definately no fuse!😩

I've just checked my DS300 and fuse F3 (10a) is for the heater/boiler. The CBE manual states ' this depends on the lights main switch' no idea what this means🤔

Thinking back the reason I changed out the rotary controller was it seemed to have a mind of its own and I recall sometimes the heater didn't fire up. I now remember that a combination of disconnecting the leisure battery for a few minutes and or removing the small white connector on the rear of the controller cleared the problem.

The other thing I discovered was the wires to the back of the room thermostat had come loose and needed the connectors nipped up to resolve the problem.

Kayak Kid on the CBE control panel is the second button from the left 'lights' switched on and illuminated?

Apparently this button also controls power to certain 12v devices, which appears to be a Chausson specific configuration.

Hi

Tried that and no luck. Looking to run a temp power feed to the Webasto to check it is not a fault there. Read about rebooting the Webasto but unfortunately it appears to have no power going to it so reboot not possible.

Hope that works. Last thoughts I have regarding no power are: have you checked the fuse for the 12v lighting circuit? Or could it be the rotary controller is faulty and not energising the power feed to the heater unit.

Thanks again.
Yes, lighting circuit fuse checked and lighting working ok!
I have a friend coming over Monday who is experienced in 12v electricery. We will check the rotary control as you suggest and run a temp power feed straight to the Webasto.
Will update on here on the outcome.
Cheers
