Private yacht Dilbar just coming into Southampton, slightly bigger than the I o W ferry.

Whilst in Viareggio, Italy, we watched a yatch like that come into harbour, I was thinking, they must feel good as it was quite a bit bigger than those already moored up. Then 30 minutes later a much bigger one arrived, if I'd been in the first one I may have felt a bit let down .....

We saw that “yacht” moored in St Tropez when we toured the Cote d’Azur ... it towered over all the other millionaire yachts in the bay. Owned by a Mr A Usmanov who was connnected with Arsenal.

It is a lot bigger than the ferry.

When I visited Russia in 1981 it was alleged that nobody earned more than 25 quid a week. Now where did all that money come from in such a short space of time?
John

When we were in parked up at the aire at Piau Engaly a French guy came over and commented that until we arrived his was the biggest motorhome there. ::bigsmile:

When we were in Crete meany years ago Nigel Mansels boat was in the marina with its Isle of Man flag. The local police were making quite a fuss when a coach load of brits were taking pictures. I wasn’t one of them.

When we owned the apartment in the Black Sea resort of Sveti Vlas, which overlooked the marina, the marina was full of Russian millionaires yachts from June till end of August. I often wondered where all this new found wealth came from, but of course everyone knew, but no one asked. I often sat on our balcony at night watching with amusement the Bugatti Veyrons and Ferraris dodging in and out of the Bulgarian donkey and cart outfits. The apartment was one of the first built and after the marina was built became VERY desirable to the Russians, one of which paid handsomely for the privilege of owning a front line apartment on what had become the marina.

Seen it moored up in Antibes in 2017, if you see the other side it has a rolls royce on the 3rd floor that gets lifted on and off. He tried an A frame but found it was illegal

More likely the Rolls Royce would sink.

John.

I'm pretty sure I saw it moored up alongside Poole Quay on 4th June. It is one very big beige lump of clean shiny plastic - very "bling"!

This one is often in Gunwharf Quays when Mrs CC and me go down there.
AMARYLLIS owner is a Russian news paper magnet.
you can charter it for €770’000 a weeko_O

That looks very much like it. Thanks for the info. If the owner asks, tell him I'm not interested in buying it as I prefer my more compact, non-floating MH!
You could rent it for just £1 million for a week. I’m not sure if that is all inclusive of meals and drinks

Nah, I'm still not interested even at that bargain price.
