Hi everyone,

As promised, I wanted to start a new thread to share some important updates about the future of both WattGuardz and Van Bitz.

I’m pleased to announce that Darrel and I have reached a positive and mutually beneficial agreement that ensures continued support for all existing and future customers. We’ll be working closely together to make sure this transition is as smooth as possible for everyone.

Effective 2 June 2025, Where possible (it's not always) WattGuardz will be taking over the warranty of all Van Bitz customers
We will continue supporting you with the same care and attention you’ve come to expect.

This is a significant and positive step that should provide peace of mind for all involved.

What’s next for Van Bitz?
I’m happy to share that Van Bitz remains strong and is actively focusing on restaffing and potentially restructuring the business. Their priorities include growing motorhome and caravan sales, exploring the addition of habitation checks and possibly servicing. Aftermarket equipment installations may return in the future including the alarm systems. Updates will be shared by Van Bitz as plans evolve. Obviously I am fully supportive of there new ventures and it would be amazing if everyone can continue their own support as well of a well-known company that we all love.

Bookings and Workshop Location:
In the meantime, WattGuardz will be fulfilling all existing Van Bitz bookings. The only change is that the work will now be carried out at our new workshop just 4 miles away. Cornish Farm Touring Park remains fully operational, and we’re pleased to continue offering a complimentary night’s stay at the campsite for our customers.

This has been an emotional week for all of us, but I’m truly happy that this transition has been so amicable. I’d like to sincerely thank Darrel and Jessie and wish them the very best. I’m also looking forward to continued collaboration that will only strengthen what we offer to you, our valued customers, both now and in the future.

I would also like to remind everyone that we have your exclusive introductory offer of a 15% discount across our full product range. This offer will run through to the 30 June 2025.

Our website is still in development, but we're getting much closer for its launch. In the meantime, if you would like a copy of our current price list and product offerings, please send us an email.

Kindest regards

Ash

Will you have a copy/access to Vanbitz customer data in order to have visibility of who has which systems installed? Alternatively, do customers have to register those details with you per the other thread?

All the best to AshWattGuardz on the new endeavour and Darrel@VanBitz on the pivot in direction.

We will have access to the records at the customers request. We are currently working on the logistics of this but rest assured that we will be able to support you fully.

So as it now stands, you no longer need to register with WattGuardz :hi5: This part of the collaboration is honestly my favourite bit.

Congratulations to both Ash and Darrel in coming to an amicable and professional arrangement, that I'm sure meets not only all of us on this forum that have or will be having alarms etc installed, but both parties future business arrangements. Hopefully, this will result in both businesses flourishing going forward.
Best of luck to both of you.

All the best to both businesses.

I'm not a customer of either, yet, but being fairly local, I look forward to seeing how much you can both persuade me to spend in the coming years!

I too am not a customer. Two thoughts - to start with could you relocate nearer Scotland please, and secondly could you both persuade world leaders to sort problems out as amicably as you two seem to have done.:giggler::giggler::giggler:

Oh dear, you forgot to mention the key attraction for Funsters at your new location in your update!

Get additional telephonist staff in manning phones immediately for the flood of bookings!:Eeek:

There's a greasy spoon cafe at the end of the road next to your new location!:clap2::clap2::clap2:

Ash I still haven’t forgiven your father eddie for sending me into Taunton while the alarm was fitted.

He even gave me directions to the pub and then expected me to understand or remember a single word he and his team said about 5 hours afterwards:giggle:

Good luck with the new venture.

I’ve been trying to get the Jones clan to move their businesses to Yorkshire for ages.
But do they listen ???……🥱🥴🤨

Great news!
The best outcome for both businesses.
I sent you a PM to register earlier today, please feel free to ignore now as not necessary.
I’ll email you for a product list.

Really good news. As others have said it is good to see agreement and I wish both Ash and Darrel and their respective businesses all the very best.

Why would they want to move to Yorkshire when they live in Somerset, my birthplace, the best County. Closely followed by Dorset of course but I’m only 10 miles from home.

And it is a really good one as well.
I am looking forward to treating the boys to a sausage, bacon and egg bap on opening day. And whilst I am getting them one, it would be rude not to partake myself 😉
