I have used them a couple of times on modified car builds with alloy fuel tanks and they work okay.

If your self build is a PVC then you are likely to fit underslung tanks so accessing this type of sender will need dropping the tank if it fails or a method of accessing from inside your van.

If you are fitting underslung tanks the Mopeka bluetooth bottom mounted sensors may be a better option.

Isn't there an outside the tank sensor system, American I think.

Thank you, I had a full conversation with another funster who has these, yet I couldn't remember the name of the product.

Not me, but I'm using them on our MH.
