Water pump ?

Hi all .just been away ,and my mate turned up in a Ellis ? Oldish motorhome ,now when it comes to filling his water tank,there is like a whale pump connection to pump water into tank (hose pipe pressure was fine) my question is...is there a way of by passing the (pump inlet ) so it can be filled freeloading. Thank you .

Tank wont fill

There is a small gauze filter inside behind the external connector. It’s easy to clean out, just there is a gauze filter inside the van on the connector behind where you plug the hose in. It should be easily accessible, can’t seem to find any pictures on line. Don’t need any tools, just undo by...
