I need to replace my water pump as i have a leak from the diaphragm. It is a Flojet R3426-500 20psi but the only alternative is 30psi is this an acceptable replacement? Please excuse my ignorance 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️

It depends on the rest of your appliances. The limiting devices tend to be the water heater, and pressure relief valve (which is often part of the water heater). What water heating system do you have?

BTW, 20psi diaphragm pumps are available (i.e. one version of the Shurflo Trail King 7). However, 30psi generally gives better performance if your hot water system is compatible.

Thanks for replying its Truma.

The Truma appliances I've seen have been good for about 2.9bar, well in excess of a 30psi pump. However, it's worth checking the individual model.
