Hello, as a new owner I hope I will not become a pain with all my questions. We unlocked and removed the cap for the water input and can't get it back on, it doesn't "click" into place. Any ideas?

The locking part of those caps is rubbish. But anyway, try turning the key until the rotating tabs on the cap are in the open / unlock position before putting the cap back in place. Then lock using the key.

In theory, when you turn the key, the moving tabs rotate from unlock to lock and vice-versa. With mine it seems to make no difference. When mine is supposed to be locked, anyone can easily remove the cap without the key.

Edit - not all lockable caps are the same . Maybe the OP's is slightly different, although I can see the small clear plastic tabs in the 1st photo.

Are you sure the two parts are supposed to be together?

I see lugs on the cap, but nothing on the neck.

Thanks, turning the key doesn't seem to move the plastic caps at all

To remove you turn the key 90º anti clock wise Then push in & turn the cap the same way. To refit you align the lugs with the slots on the neck, push in & turn 90º clockwise. then turn the key 90º clockwise leaves the cap locked but rotatable.

Landy Andy has said yours appears to have the locating neck collar missing. It is a common problem where it comes unglued & stays on the cap.looks like someone has thrown yours away. They can be superglued back in.If it is missing you need a complete new cap & neck assembly.Easy to fit

Thanks to everyone who responded, I found a cap on Ebay but not the neck assembly .... yet!

I've got the same one

The caps don't click into place...

you twist to locate and secure and when you lock with the key it should just spin but not come free
