Hi,
I have a problem with the water in fuel filter warning light coming on our 2007 Autotrail Cheyenne on a Ducato 2.3 130 chassis . I have bled the filter and there is no water, it runs perfectly and I am told it is a faulty sensor.

My questions are:
Where can I buy the sensor? - I can't find anything listed on eBay or the car parts suppliers websites
Is it/they easy to fit? - I have read on the internet there may be 2 sensors
Has anyone else had the same problem and sorted it themselves?

Thanks for any help I can get.
Cheers
Phil

I had something similar in a different vehicle several years ago. I can't remember exactly what it was but I'm pretty sure it was a SEVEL group van.

After doing some research it turned out that it means nothing. It says it's a "Water in Fuel" warning in the manual but it isn't. It randomly comes on if the van thinks you haven't had it serviced for a while. If you google for your particular van I think there's a key sequence to get rid of it.

There's something similar on Transits as well. Some scary "we're all doomed" warning light comes on but all it is, is a service reminder.

Just had a service, had it on diagnostics but within a few miles came back on again. It doesn't stay on with ignition but usually comes on within a few miles of driving.
Thanks
