Whale water heater not working. Space heater seems ok. Elddis 115. Red exclamation mark next to tap control on duo panel shows up continually. Tried reset button on underfloor heater unit top panel, single press, extended double press etc. Tried pressing tap image on duo panel and plus button many times. All lights light up on heater lower panel when I do that, very occasionally a quick flash of the gas flame on water heater panel. Gas is on in the van and working ok. Also tried turning on and off van power panel. Don't know how to turn off RCD unit. Presently on site in S. France. Jimbohorlicks where are you?.

Hi, sorry just seen your post. If you have tried the reset button is it the correct one. There is one on the water heater and one on the air blower heater.Failing that to reset the RCD you could always try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins or so. I suppose you have checked the fuses? At the bottom of the power unit.

It hadn't been up long, no rush anyway. I've just looked at a couple of fuses, trouble is the wording on the bottom of the power unit is nearly warn off, most relevant seemed to be toilet/pump or space heater, both ok. Haven't tried disconnecting battery, thought I'd leave that till morning as I'm just about to cook. Would flushing water through the heater do something? I could turn the yellow valve lever, press the water button on the hab panel and see what happens? I'm not keen on doing things I don't know, for the first time!

If you turn the yellow lever it will empty the system ,just make sure you have plenty of water in.the water heater is a 5amp fuse 5th in from the left side, plus there is a tripbswitch above but thatscfor 240v.

Just got to go offline for a while, will try that in morning! Thanks, speak later

It's sorted, I hope. Fuses all okay, I noticed that occasionally when I pressed water tap sign and the + together the gas flame image would briefly appear, so turned the locker gas switch on and off a few times, heard a little click from the unit and the error disappeared. We've now got hot water! I'm assuming that the gas tap had been knocked with something above it in the locker. I'll have to make a cover when I get back. So thanks for your help. I can get back to the serious business of sitting in the sun!
