Not sure if this is a thing, or it's realistic in terms of cost.

Im struggling with getting water atm.

Im think maybe I could buy a few IBCs and have a delivery of water to fill them up? Is that a thing. I tried searching for water delivery and only found real corporate looking websites. Any suggestions?

I'm only about 25 miles away & can let you have a bucket full.

Swimming pool maint company will know where to get water bowser deliveries from, friendly local farmer (often have water bowsers).

Cheers

What about those water containers that they have on festival campsites? I know there is a small company local to me - but unfortunately miles away from you - that supply them.
Just make sure they don't recycle the ones that we empty our loos into.... 😉

That's not me by the way.

Most cemeteries have taps, you could fill up a couple of 25 litre plastic Jerry cans

Some people carry
fitments to connnect a stand pipe to a water hydrant
:Eeek: Not sure on the legality though :imoutahere::whistle2:

Strictly speaking this would be theft from the water company as only Fire Service are legally allowed to draw water from a fire hydrant without permission from them although in the past I know of many builders who "acquired" standpipe, key and bars to access the hydrants and Fire Services used to rent out the standpipes in the old days on a regular basis.

I've looked into standpipes. You can buy them on ebay for nothing but then you are stealing water.

The annual rental for one is alot aswell. More than you would spend on water.

I just want something solid in place. Nothing dodgy. My dodgy days are over 😂.

I've got 5 x 25l drums I've been filling up from a fast flowing tap at fuel station. But it's a pain in the arse.

1 cubic meter of water costs around £2 or less..
They want £389 plus vat !!!!

Thats a lots for a wooden pallet, cardboard box and delivery !!!!

Buy a standpipe and plead ignorance, for all the water your taking I’d be amazed if the water company would make an issue of it.
I take it there is no supply where your parked up
