Watching NowTV on Firestick

As a special treat, thought I’d treat myself to a subscription to Now to watch the England/New Zealand tests. I already had the Now app on my Firestick HD on my ancient Sony tv. So subscribed for a month using my ipad and paid £33odd for month. I received a code number which I’ve noted.

However, I can only watch this on my ipad (and haven’t needed to enter the code) and can’t stream it to my TV. When I select Firestick on the TV, navigate to the Now app, and to the test match, it asks me to buy a package, which of courseI’ve already bought! Nowhere is there a prompt or anything to log in or enter a code.

Is there a way of watching this on my TV, which is what I always intended?

Not sure but if you go to the purchase screen is there an account setting where you can log in with your number.

Alternatively you may have subscribed to current device only on the ipad.

Sorry not much help.

I watch it on my TV, have you signed into your TV (not a clue how to do it)

Maybe you have to log into your now tv account to add a device ?
I don't know but just a suggestion.

Thank you all for your posts. I’ve sorted this now and I’ll tell you what I did.
1. I selected Firestick on my tv, went to home, then My apps.
2. Deleted the Now app.
3. Went to the App store on Firestick and downloaded Now tv.
4. Then it displayed a 6 number code.
5. Then on the ipad went to browser and entered nowtv.com/gb/tv
6. it then asks you to enter the 6 lettered code on the ipad
7. Then go to Firestick on the TV, select Now, find the test match and lo and behold, the cricket is streaming on the TV.
What a palaver but hope this helps!

Why no t mirror your iPad on to the TV?

Apparently this isn’t possible any longer. There is a Now Stick or a Now Box, which allows mirror casting to a tv.
