After watching Paul & Mary's Christmas Master Class this week,I decided that the festive Couronne ticked all the boxes for me and that I should start baking again :xgrin:

Here it is,my take on a festive Couronne :xThumb: Problem is that it is too edible, and extremely rich.

Looks wonderful:xgrin: We'll be over!!! xxx

Oh it is :xThumb: Enriched pastry spread with mincemeat, covered with a layer of marzipan with orange zest in it,rolled up like a swiss roll, split in half lengthways then twisted together and formed into a circle and baked.
Then brushed with apricot glaze and, when cool decorated with water ice, glace cherries and split pecan nuts.
You'll have to hurry :xrofl:

Think the daughter is going to make it tomorrow (well a gluten free version)x:-)
