Hi all, today's question (o not him again) is with regards to warranty cover the motorhome we are looking at comes with 12 months warranty from the dealer and when I ask about it they are telling me it's back but the RAC? but when I asked about the habitation side of the cover they said that too was covered by the same 3rd party which I find odd? I would have thought it would have been done via themselves? This is not a small dealership is this he normal way this cover is done. Cheers

Completely normal, RAC would honor the warranty and it would be administrated by someone like Auto-Protect I imagine.

Oaktree by any chance ??
I know with some of these warranty you have to be very careful ref the amount you can claim.
We bought our last van with a similar warranty but paid for the higher and extended cover. You hear many good and bad comments.

No not Oaktree but I didn't want to put there name down I wasn't sure and it wouldn't have been fair if it was the normal? But they do have a 1 or 2 page add in MMM every month and I have asked around to see if they where an ok company to deal with and all that looks positive but this being our first motorhome with a big outlay I was just trying to cover all bases.

Just my own personal view but as a first time buyer it may be best to choose a dealer who gives their own full all things covered warranty. Last thing you want is having to deal with a third party and coming across limited amounts you can claim. Just have a look at how much things like a fridge, oven or toilet cost. (y)
Otherwise check out the RAC policy very carefully on amounts.

In an ideal world that would be good but for our budget the island bed layout we like and a good trade in price for our caravan also fairly local to use they tick all the boxs.
