In the intense heat/sun we have had in Spain & Portugal of late, we have had an issue with vinyl. Anyone got a temporary, then permanent fix.

That looks awful, only fix I can see is replacing the material. Did you clise blinds to try keeping some heat out and direct sunshine from being on them?

Mmmm hindsight!
By the time we noticed, it was too late.

That's an area which looks as if it could often be touched. Reason for saying that is that the steering wheel on two of our company vehicles degraded like that and if seems as if it was caused by hand sanitiser.

The “faux leather” (ie vinyl) on our 2015 Carthago was deteriorating- just had it reupholstered last week by Regal in Ilkeston in leather & fabric - very impressed by their work.

Snap on our 2013 Pilote - a brown and cream material with some bits in the same type of faux leather in cream which livens it up a bit. Trouble is any of the faux leather parts that get any 'friction' are peeling and shedding their top layer, grrrr cos anything material (or human skin) that comes into contact with the peeled flakes, pick them up or they drop on the mats, damn nuisance. Must get a quotation from somewhere before much longer.
