Spent a few hours today curing a very severe chatter from my offside plastic screen trim. The rattle was deafening and just had to be sorted. It only occurs in crosswinds but it was terrible.
After removing the complete section I found the top mount was fitted 5mm out of line. After relining and adding some foam packing job done. Not a difficult task really. Dealer quoted a silly price so obviously didn't want to do it.

The top has a plastic trim plug to hold it in place. There are 3 sleeve brackets and the fixings at the base. Once all the screws are removed it slides out easily.

Vibrating screen trim

I don't really know what they are but I'd have look to see if there are any in the Ann Summers range.

I’ve had a bit of that in the past, also in cross winds.
I just stuffed a couple of bits of BlackTack between trim and body that seems to have done the job.
A bit of a bodge job but I’m not as brave as you to start dismantling things.

Richard.
