Hi, we are looking to travel back to the UK with our dogs and are looking for a vet to complete pet passports near Calais with easy parking for the motorhome or parking nearby. Many thanks
We have used the one in Forges les Eaux. Vet speaks excellent English. Parking in the square opposite or, if that is busy, follow the parking signs from the square to the concert hall, 5 mins walk.
Would you be better going to a vet on route to Calais because you need to wait between 1 and 5 days before crossing, we use the one at Bourg Achard ( same practice as Mailleray)
Hi Kim, just a thought , you have got to visit the vets at least 24hrs before tunnel or ferry
Your pet dog must have had mandatory tapeworm treatment administered by a vet between 24–120 hours before arrival in UK. Please note if the tapeworm treatment is not administered in time or correctly documented by a vet, it will result in your pet being refused travel.
Forges les Eaux park at Carrefore supermarket gps 49.611172, 1.546756
vets we use at La Mailleraye sur Seine great 15.50euros park 200 yards at the aire on the river
I would avoid a vet near Calais.
1. Because you must not travel till 24hrs to 5 days afterwards.
2. The closer to the channel ports the higher the price. The vet we use is 360miles from Calais, and although prices have gone up this year was €24 for two dogs.Last year was €18
