We have carried ramps around for 12 years now and I can only remember useing them twice.

We bought some ramps for a site that specifically mentioned all the grass pitches needed them. They didn’t  So I took them back!

The first time was just to try them after buying them the only other time was one of our very rare visits to a site where we could only park like they said and was on a fair old slope but even then they sank in the grass and didn't really do much.
Now we just manoeuvre about a bit till the wine glass doesn't slide off the table and leave it at that.

Bought some last year after the 2 sites in Cornwall were that bad my levelling jacks could not get anywhere near level.
The first site I asked to be moved as with the jacks and ramps my front wheels were well over a foot high😳😳
As the pitch was gravel I worried incase the van slid forward off the jacks.

Could have done with them on our latest trip as some sites were to much for the jacks.

Surely if it's sloping a foot in 20 it isn't fit to be a motorhome site.

I rarely don’t need them, perhaps we have a low tolerance for wonkiness 😂
Same here. But our van is very front low to start with. It works better with a sloping site as long it is sloping the correct way.

Ours is the same but not enough to worry us on the flat but if we are on a slope we just drive into it.

I would happily deploy the ramps, to beat the slop if that then gives me the view

I cut some 100mm Cellotex sheet put 9mm ply each side and then wrapped in cling film, no weight but very strong and easy stored under the floor. We are 6.7t👍

We just don't have the time to do all this setting up, of ramps, awnings ,BBQ , windbreaks and any other trappings, we just get there at fourish, out to the town ,bar restaurant, have a look round , back to bed.
In the morning shower, breakfast and away, nothing to put away as nothing has been got out, if there is something we want to see nearby we are straight out, when we get back , in the driving seat and off.

If you get to a site around 4, then drive off the next morning, how do you find time to relax. Do you drive all day.?😀

since i had the front suspension uprated i have only used one small fiamma ramp twice, i had even bought some quatros but only tried them on the drive, as long as I am reasonably level I dont bother as we are nearly always wildcamping

I have some jack pads that I can double up so gives a bit extra lift.
Have some 4” hardwood timber left on the house project I have going on so am going to get my chippy to cut some blocks and give them a bit of a recess.

Why not put van on ramps for a night

We usually do we like to see new places thats why we've got a motorhome! The ones I can't understand are the ones on a sun lounger on a bit of grass the same as their lawn at home who never seem to go out! Each to their own.
