I wonder if the recently announced VAT cut of 15% on Camp sites will have a positive effect on campsite bookings to the benefit of the motorhomer or will the money be kept by the proprietor to boost their income?

The vat is collected by the business owner on behalf of HMRC and passed on to them quarterly.

Well discussed elsewhere already, but I would say let the keep it, all camp sites have lived on no income for months but still had to maintain the sites 👍

There is already a couple of threads about this so perhaps best to add to them rather than start another.

Don’t expect a reduction, more likely site owners will use the vat reduction to help replace the lost income for the last 3 months and I will not begrudge them. The sooner they get back on their feet the better. You have to take account of the reduced numbers of campers that will be able to be on site at any one time.
