Been looking at so preloved motorhomes. The ones in the dealers are a lot better valated. Are there firms that can really get it to sparkle if we buy private. More the out side paint some just seem a bit dull

Any it was more a case of are there firms.

There are people like tourershine, very good but quite expensive depending how dull the MH has got.

When we say experience how much ball park?

£300 - £500 for the full refinish I would think

If you set to and clean it yourself you will find anything that needs attention. When you move inside you will find all the little holes where dirt collects, any coins left behind and where everything is. You also discover buttons you didn't know existed. When you have finished after a couple of days it will be spotless and just like new and you will know where everything is.

With it being our first and not being able to afford a new one, we thought we would treat it to a wash and brush up. Just spoken to a nice guy in a dealers who said it might take 2 days for power polishing and cleaning and we would be able to get new decals.
Shown us before and after it looked well smart

Just had mine done, outside was deep cleaned including roof and front bonnet gel coat polished back to a brilliant gloss. The chap did a great job and spent all doing it at his premises. £140 which I thought was a great deal.

His website mentions Great Yarmouth but he is now at the Lowestoft address.

I wouldn't want it power washed & I'd expect it to have new decals fitted by them.My mate walks away from anything in a dealers that isn't 100%.

Have a look at Paintseal, this seems to be a one off super clean that does not need polishing. I owned a van with this treatment and a bucket of water was all it needed to make it shine again. It always looked good until some nameless idiot stole it!

Right now we have names for the outside.
So on to the inside is that just a get on your hands an knees and scrub?
Do you know the ground in dirt on leather any hints on that.
This is going to start it's new life as one clean motorhome

If tackling it yourself have a look on the two well known "auction" websites at the various specialist products out there. Alternatively a good selection is always on show at Halfords.

Don't forget your local valeting services for the cab interior and outside bodywork, they're no different to a car.

Make sure that no power wash is involved though.
