I'm just about to put my camper on eBay, but not sure about the V5.

The camper is in Leeds with my brother , but I had to transfer the V5 to my partner as I'm a a Spanish resident and can't legally drive it. So she insured it and drove it to UK in October.

Will a new buyer accept the situation like this? My brother has all the paperwork, but do we need the V5 in his name? We can do it online but might take ages to get a new one.

Or maybe we send a copy of Penny's passport and she writes that my brother has power to sell the vehicle.

Any advice?

Would not stop me from buying it.

The V5 is just about who controls the vehicle, not ownership. But most buyers will expect owner to match the keeper (I know I would). There will inevitably be concern as to whether the sale is legitimate. If you are the owner and not the keeper, especially if you are absent, then expect difficulty. If parting with cash inevitably people will be worried the vehicle is legitimate sale. You are going to have to show papers (and that is irrespective of the V5), that can easily be authenticated, to show the person acting as your agent has the right to do so.
