Just to let you know that if you are in or near the Gard region in France that you must visit the above place. Lovely old town well worth a meander through with lots of history. What makes it though is the fact that there is an aire/ French Passion site 15 minutes walk away. It is on a vineyard with room for 20 plus vans. No charge with water, waste and toilet emptying.
Excellent wine and tasting available.

Uzes to pont du Gard on bike.

We found this newly built (2018) old railway line which is impeccably flat and got really good tarmac. It's 12 Kms long and you can continue to Beaucaire alongside the Gardon. The route takes you through car park where you pay 18 euros for pont du Gard but it's a voit vert so free for pushbike...

We were there 4 days ago. Stunning little town. Great local market on a Wednesday and a Saturday. Good restaurants. Cycle path to Pont du Garde is excellent and well worth the trip. Domain St Fermin is a dream stop. It was packed last week and MHs were turned away. The family did their best but it is obviously very popular with the French. Really nice family own it. Good English spoken if you need it. Farm products and wine available in farm shop. I would estimate 5 minutes stroll into town. Not to be missed!
