I am looking for some time at purchasing a used Concorde or Morelo MH. These two are available at similar price points at the moment.
Any advice on how they look regarding condition & price?

I prefer the MAN chassis ideally but the Iveco is more common in my area for servicing etc.

Or better to wait until winter & see what comes up?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Many thanks

Concorde are quality vans but all vans can be in poor condition depending on who has previously owned it.

Specific Concorde advice as follows-

Check for full service record on the engine, take it for a drive, if Iveco the older agile box can be problematic.

Electrically, check everything is working as it should including chargers, 12volt system, solar charging, EHU.

Cab double glazed side windows, check they have not blown as ridiculously expensive to replace unless you do it yourself.

Exterior locker doors, use a straight edge to check for trueness as some can delaminate which will cause bad water ingress, check all lockers for water ingress.

Check drop down bed(If it has one) gas struts work correctly.

Check shower tray for cracks/damage.

Check Alde heating is working on all settings and when it last had a fluid change/service.

Check habitation door is true and the entry control pad is working correctly as I have known Concorde owners having to have a complete new door due to this. Does it lock and open properly?

Check control panel is working correctly.

Check mattresses are good.

Bodywork damage and roof damage(Hail damage)

Wind awning out to check.
Check tyres for condition and age and budget for 6 new if over 7/8 years old.

Check and ask what sort of batteries are fitted and how old they are.
Check sog is working and oven/Tec tower works as they can be problematic.

Check front windscreen blind is working correctly, it has a separate inverter.

Check the GVW has it been up rated? Take it to a weighbridge and check total weight and each axle as payload can be tight on some of the 7500kg models.

Check the windscreen for damage and wipers are good and work.

Has it got any habitation service history?

You need to go see them obviously.

Note, the MAN one is rated at over 8000 kgs which means you will need to have a full hgv class C license, it does say it can be down plated to under 7500 kgs but make sure at that weight it has sufficient payload for your needs.

Yes, thanks for that.
I have a C1 & currently doing my hgv.......though I take your point about payload which takes a bit of figuring...
